What happens if I damage a rental car?
If you are involved in an accident you must obtain a police Call 999, report, and contact the car rental provider to advise them of the accident immediately.
You will need to fill out a damage report for insurance purposes. Depending on how the accident occurred, for example, due to negligence, you may be liable for the costs involved; however, this is assessed on a case-by-case basis by the car rental provider. -

Do I need a credit card to rent a car?
You need to be in possession of a valid credit card to collect a rental car, or a deposit will be applied. This must be in the name of the main driver cannot be a pre-paid credit card or a debit card and must have sufficient funds available.

What is a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your liability in the event of an accident during your car rental. Without this, you could be liable for the full cost of the rental car if it were to be damaged or written off. CDW means you won’t have to pay the full cost of any repairs as long as you’ve followed the T&Cs.
CDW is always included when booking with Rentico.ae with Excess or Excess Reimbursement. CDW is sometimes known as Loss Damage Waiver or Damage Excess Waiver.
