Barsha Heights — Where Every Dubai Destination Is Within Reach

Formerly known as Tecom, Barsha Heights sits at one of Dubai's most practical crossroads. Sheikh Zayed Road runs along its eastern edge — that's your direct lane to Downtown in 12 minutes, to Dubai Marina in 8, to DXB airport in under 25. Al Khail Road branches south. The whole city opens up from here in a way that few districts genuinely deliver.
Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City, and Knowledge Park are within a 5-minute radius. Commuting from Barsha Heights on a rental car means you skip the metro crush and control your own schedule. Morning meetings in Media City, afternoon in Business Bay — no transfers, no waiting.

Renting a car in Barsha Heights means you're not dependent on a single metro line. The district has tinted, GPS-ready vehicles delivered to your door — pre-cooled, paperwork handled via WhatsApp. Explore at your own pace.

Pick Your Car for Barsha Heights

Economy & Sedans for Daily Commuting

Barsha Heights traffic is manageable — but parking in Dubai Media City or Knowledge Park rewards a compact footprint. Economy cars like the Nissan Versa or Mitsubishi Attrage keep fuel costs low and slip into tight spots without drama.

5000 km/month included. From 1 AED/km extra if you push further.

SUVs for Family Trips and Weekend Runs

JBR beach with luggage, Mall of the Emirates with three kids, a day trip to Hatta — an SUV handles it without compromise. Models like the Chevrolet Trailblazer or KIA Telluride give you the cabin space and highway stability that routes from Barsha Heights actually demand.

Child seats available for 50 AED.

Luxury & Business Cars for Client-Facing Days

A morning pitch in Dubai Internet City, an evening dinner in Downtown. The car you arrive in matters. Luxury rentals — Mercedes S500, Audi A6, Volvo S90 — are booked as specific models, not vague “or similar” promises.

Rentico guarantees the exact vehicle. If something changes, it's an upgrade, not a downgrade.

On the page, choose the search option Plate Details.

    Enter your car details:

    • Plate Source: Dubai

    • Plate Category: Private

    • Plate Code: your vehicle code

    Click Search.

You’ll see a list of unpaid fines, including the date, type of violation, and amount.

Select the fine you want to pay and click Pay.

Important: For fines issued in Dubai, an extra 20 AED Knowledge & Innovation Fee is always added.

This is a mandatory government fee charged per fine to cover RTA IT services and transaction processing. Even if you pay multiple fines at once, the 20 AED fee is applied to each fine separately. In other emirates (like Abu Dhabi or Sharjah), this fee may differ or not apply.

Choose your payment method, enter the details, and confirm.

    After successful payment, you’ll receive

    How to pay fines?

All fines are reported to our team. We notify the renter and explain payment options:

    • Through the Dubai Police website.

    • Via the Dubai Police or RTA Dubai mobile apps.

    • In some cases, fines can be paid when returning the car.

You can pay the fine yourself and send us confirmatio

  • All our cars come with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance, which reduces or covers your financial liability in case of an accident.

CDW limits the amount you're responsible for. The rental price includes standard coverage with a deductible of AED 1,000–1,500, depending on the car model.
If you're at fault, you’ll only need to pay the deductible.
If the accident is not your fault, you don’t pay anything.

To make a claim, a police report is required:

    • A green report means you’re not at fault — no payment needed.

    • A red report means you’re at fault — the deductible applies.

Please note: CDW insurance does not cover:

    • Damage to tires, glass, mirrors, or the underbody.

    • Accidents caused while breaking the law (e.g. driving under the influence or fleeing the scene).

    • Lost keys or personal belongings in the car.

  • Dubai has a convenient and flexible parking payment system. You can choose from several options:

Download the app, select the parking zone, enter your car plate number, and pay using a bank card or a Nol card (available at metro stations and shopping malls).

    2. Via SMS
If you have a local SIM card, send a message to 7275 in the format:
plate number [space] zone code [space] number of hours
      Example: A12345 123A 2 (for 2 hours in zone 123A)

    3. Via parking meters
Meters accept coins (1 AED and 50 fils) and Nol cards.

  • To book a car in Dubai, please send us a scan or photo of these documents:

    • Your passport

    • Your valid driver’s license (front and back)

    • An International Driving Permit (IDP) — this is required for citizens of some countries (see the list here).

If you’re from the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, or a few other places, you don’t need an IDP. For people from Belarus and Ukraine, just your national driver’s license and passport are enough to book.

If you’re from Russia, Kazakhstan, or other CIS countries, an International Driving Permit is a must.

UAE residents should provide a valid UAE driver’s license and their Emirates ID. If your UAE license is less than 3 months old, please also send your national driver’s license showing you’ve been driving for 3 months or more.

  • Off-road use is a violation of the rental agreement and is not allowed.

    • Ages 18–21:
You can rent economy-class cars only. A refundable deposit of AED 2,000 is required.
Insurance terms: in case of an accident, you’ll pay the deductible (usually AED 1,000) plus 10% of the repair cost or vehicle value (in case of total loss).

    • Ages 21–25:
Most vehicles are available, except for certain luxury and high-performance models.
Insurance terms: the deductible ranges from AED 1,000 to 1,500 depending on the car class, plus 10% of the repair cost or car value (in case of total loss).

    • 25 and older:
All car categories are available. The 10% rule does not apply to insurance.

Minimum driving experience: 3 months (applies to all age groups).

If your UAE license is less than 3 months old but your original license shows more driving experience, you're still eligible to rent a car.

  • Any customer who has a valid UAE Driving License which is minimum 1 year old or above.

  • If you're involved in an accident, call the police immediately at 999, then contact us right away to report the incident. You’ll also need to fill out a damage report for the insurance.

Your financial responsibility will depend on whether you were at fault — we review each case individually and guide you through the next steps.

  • We offer several convenient ways to pay for your car rental in Dubai — choose what works best for you:

    • Cash — in AED, USD, or EUR.

    • Debit and credit cards — including Russian cards in RUB.

    • Bank transfers.

  • Yes — with Rentico, you can rent a car without a deposit or credit card.

You have two options: either leave a refundable deposit, or choose a no-deposit option by paying a small extra fee for the entire rental period. This fee starts from AED 27 and depends on the car and rental duration.

A credit card is not required.

  • If you want to rent a car in the UAE, in some cases you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your regular driver’s license. For example, people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and some other countries need an IDP. You can find a list of the most common countries and their IDP requirements here.

You don’t need an International Driving Permit if you are:

    • A UAE resident. Just show your Emirates ID and a valid UAE driver’s license that’s been issued at least 3 months ago. If your UAE license is newer than that, you’ll also need to show your original national driver’s license proving you’ve been driving for more than 3 months.

    • A citizen of the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, Belarus, or Ukraine. For renting a car, your national driver’s license and passport are enough.

In any case, you must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your liability in the event of an accident during your car rental. Without this, you could be liable for the full cost of the rental car if it were to be damaged or written off. CDW means you won’t have to pay the full cost of any repairs as long as you’ve followed the T&Cs.

CDW is always included when booking with rentico.ae with Excess or Excess Reimbursement. CDW is sometimes known as Loss Damage Waiver or Damage Excess Waiver.

  • Rentico delivers free of charge for rentals over 1,000 AED — Barsha Heights, Business Bay, Marina, JBR, Downtown and beyond. Standard hours are 09:00–21:00, Monday to Sunday. Need the car outside those hours? Delivery is available with a 50 AED after-hours fee. Pickup option: Anantara Downtown Business Tower, Business Bay. Message us on WhatsApp — response within 10 minutes.
  • Yes. Rentico accepts USDT, BTC, and ETH — send the transfer, receive your electronic contract via WhatsApp, collect the keys. Cash in AED, USD, or EUR also works. No credit card required. The deposit-free option starts from 27 AED for the whole rental — zero card authorisation, zero frozen funds.
  • Salik is Dubai’s automated road toll system — your rental comes pre-fitted with a Salik chip, so gates on Sheikh Zayed Road and seven other points across the city register automatically. The toll itself runs 0–6 AED per crossing depending on time of day (free at night, 4 AED off-peak, 6 AED peak). Rentico adds a 1.5 AED processing fee per pass. Everything settles at the end of your rental based on actual usage — no estimates, no rounding up.
  • CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is included in every rental. It covers accidents, theft, and natural disasters — with a standard 1,000 AED excess per incident. Drivers under 25 carry an additional 20% of repair costs in fault cases. Glass and tyre damage are not covered. One practical note: a police report filed via the Dubai Police app is required for any insurance claim to be valid. Green report — you pay nothing. Red report — excess applies.
  • More than most people expect. Here’s what sits within a 5–15 minute drive:

    • Mall of the Emirates — Ski Dubai, Harvey Nichols, 630+ stores. About 4 minutes by car.
    • Dubai Marina & JBR — waterfront restaurants, open beach, evening walks. Around 10 minutes.
    • Emirates Golf Club & Topgolf Dubai — full 18-hole courses and an interactive driving range for all skill levels.
    • Al Barsha Pond Park — jogging track, cycling paths, family picnic spots. Right inside the neighbourhood.
    • Dubai Media City & Internet City — tech and media hub, useful if you’re combining work and leisure.
    • Downtown Dubai & Burj Khalifa — 12 minutes on Sheikh Zayed Road without traffic.

Rent a car in the Barsha Heights area and the whole city becomes a 15-minute decision, not a metro-and-wait calculation. Browse the full vehicle catalogue and pick what fits your itinerary.
