Bur Dubai sits on the western bank of Dubai Creek, and if you've spent even one afternoon here, you understand why it stays in your memory. The Al Fahidi Fort — built in 1787 and now housing the Dubai Museum — is a 10-minute walk from the waterfront. The lanes around Meena Bazaar smell of cardamom and oud. The Abra crossing to Deira takes three minutes and costs 1 AED. This district is not a backdrop for tourism; it is the original Dubai. Renting a car here is the practical choice: public transport covers the souks, but it won't get you to the Dubai Frame, Global Village, and Jumeirah Beach in the same afternoon. With a hired vehicle from Rentico, all three are within a 20-minute drive of each other.
Uncover the Historic Quarter - Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is Dubai's oldest surviving district. The Dubai Museum, the Coffee Museum, and over a dozen art galleries sit within its wind-tower lanes — most spaces free to enter. Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House, five minutes south, documents the emirate's maritime past with rare photographs and pearl-diving artefacts. A car gives you the freedom to visit these sites on your own schedule, without watching a bus timetable.
Bur Dubai’s streets reward compact cars. Fuel-efficient models like the Nissan Versa or KIA Rio slip into tight souk-side parking without stress, and they’re the sharpest choice for solo travellers or couples covering the Creek district and beyond. View Economy Cars

A green report means you’re not at fault — no payment needed.
A red report means you’re at fault — the deductible applies.
Please note: CDW insurance does not cover:
Damage to tires, glass, mirrors, or the underbody.
Accidents caused while breaking the law (e.g. driving under the influence or fleeing the scene).
Lost keys or personal belongings in the car.

If you’re from Russia, Kazakhstan, or other CIS countries, an International Driving Permit is a must.
UAE residents should provide a valid UAE driver’s license and their Emirates ID. If your UAE license is less than 3 months old, please also send your national driver’s license showing you’ve been driving for 3 months or more.

Yes — with Rentico, you can rent a car without a deposit or credit card.

If you want to rent a car in the UAE, in some cases you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your regular driver’s license. For example, people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and some other countries need an IDP. You can find a list of the most common countries and their IDP requirements here.
You don’t need an International Driving Permit if you are:
A UAE resident. Just show your Emirates ID and a valid UAE driver’s license that’s been issued at least 3 months ago. If your UAE license is newer than that, you’ll also need to show your original national driver’s license proving you’ve been driving for more than 3 months.
A citizen of the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, Belarus, or Ukraine. For renting a car, your national driver’s license and passport are enough.
In any case, you must have a valid driver’s license.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your liability in the event of an accident during your car rental. Without this, you could be liable for the full cost of the rental car if it were to be damaged or written off. CDW means you won’t have to pay the full cost of any repairs as long as you’ve followed the T&Cs.
CDW is always included when booking with rentico.ae with Excess or Excess Reimbursement. CDW is sometimes known as Loss Damage Waiver or Damage Excess Waiver.
