Nissan Altima SR Rental Dubai - Sport Trim, Real-World Logic

Forget the standard Altima. The SR trim adds a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a V-Motion grille that reads differently in a Business Bay valet queue. Under the hood: a 2.5L four-cylinder producing 188 hp, paired with a CVT gearbox calibrated for smooth acceleration on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11).

Zero Gravity seats - NASA-inspired, not a marketing claim - reduce lower-back fatigue on the Abu Dhabi run. At 160 AED per day with Rentico, the Nissan Altima SR rental in Dubai delivers a fully-loaded sport sedan without the supercar price tag. No hidden fees. VAT included.

Popular Nissan Categories

Sport Sedans: Built for Dubai's Daily Pace

Sport sedans hit the sweet spot between economy hatchbacks and full luxury. Ground clearance sits at 155 mm - enough to clear speed bumps in JVC and Al Barsha without drama. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a factory-tinted cabin come standard on GCC-spec units.

The SR trim is the go-to for business travelers driving between DIFC, Business Bay, and Dubai Airport (DXB). Handles daily city loops and inter-emirate runs to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah equally well. Check the full sedan catalog for available dates.

Compact & Economy: Cost-Per-Km Champions

Covering 80+ km a day between emirates makes fuel efficiency the metric that matters. Compact sedans average 7-8 L/100 km in mixed Dubai traffic - roughly 35-40 AED in fuel per day at current UAE pump prices.

The Nissan Versa and Nissan Sentra cover Al Barsha to Downtown in under 20 minutes with zero stress. Ideal for solo travelers, expats on relocation budgets, or anyone who needs reliable wheels for a week. Browse economy options to compare.

Full-Size & Performance: When the Altima SR Isn't Enough

Some trips - client pickups, airport runs in peak season, weekend getaways toward Ras Al Khaimah - call for more cabin presence. Upgraded sedans and near-luxury options give you extra headroom, trunk capacity, and road authority without committing to an SUV footprint.

If the SR trim fits your task, book it. If the job calls for more, the Nissan Altima base or a step up to business-class sedans is two clicks away. Guaranteed model - not just a class.

What to Know Before You Rent the Nissan Altima SR in Dubai

Key selection factors

Fuel type: GCC-spec Altima SR runs on Super 98 - budget ~40 AED/day at current UAE pump rates Ground clearance: 155 mm handles most Dubai roads; go diagonal over speed bumps in JVC and Al Barsha Heights CDW insurance: Included with every Rentico booking - 1,000 AED excess applies per incident AC efficiency: GCC-spec dual-zone climate control maintains cabin temp at +20°C even at +45°C outside Safety Shield 360: Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert standard on SR - critical on E11 at 120 km/h

The SR's sport-tuned suspension is firmer than the standard Altima - you'll feel Dubai's road expansion joints more on Al Khail Road. Covering 300+ km/day toward Abu Dhabi? The base Altima's softer ride suits better. Check the Nissan Altima SR page to confirm current availability before booking.

Cost vs. taxi math

Monthly Altima SR rental with Rentico starts from 3 000 AED. A daily Careem Business ride between Al Barsha and DIFC runs 80-120 AED one-way - that's 160-240 AED per day, or 4,800-7,200 AED per month. The rental saves 30-55% and eliminates waiting time.

Book the Altima SR for 7 days at 160 AED/day - 959 AED total (weekly rate). Four equivalent Careem Business round-trips cost ~640 AED, covering only four days. By day five, the rental is already cheaper. Monthly rental locks in the best rate per day.

    • An International Driving Permit (IDP) — this is required for citizens of some countries (see the list here).

If you’re from Russia, Kazakhstan, or other CIS countries, an International Driving Permit is a must.

UAE residents should provide a valid UAE driver’s license and their Emirates ID. If your UAE license is less than 3 months old, please also send your national driver’s license showing you’ve been driving for 3 months or more.

  • Off-road use is a violation of the rental agreement and is not allowed.

    • 25 and older:
All car categories are available. The 10% rule does not apply to insurance.

A credit card is not required.

  • If you want to rent a car in the UAE, in some cases you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your regular driver’s license. For example, people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and some other countries need an IDP. You can find a list of the most common countries and their IDP requirements here.

You don’t need an International Driving Permit if you are:

    • A UAE resident. Just show your Emirates ID and a valid UAE driver’s license that’s been issued at least 3 months ago. If your UAE license is newer than that, you’ll also need to show your original national driver’s license proving you’ve been driving for more than 3 months.

    • A citizen of the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, Belarus, or Ukraine. For renting a car, your national driver’s license and passport are enough.

In any case, you must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your liability in the event of an accident during your car rental. Without this, you could be liable for the full cost of the rental car if it were to be damaged or written off. CDW means you won’t have to pay the full cost of any repairs as long as you’ve followed the T&Cs.

CDW is always included when booking with rentico.ae with Excess or Excess Reimbursement. CDW is sometimes known as Loss Damage Waiver or Damage Excess Waiver.
