BMW M4 Competition - The Most Sought-After Sports Coupe on Dubai Roads

530 horsepower. 3.9 seconds to 100 km/h. Twin-turbocharged inline-six under the hood. The BMW M4 Competition is not just a car - it's a statement on Sheikh Zayed Road. When you hire a BMW M4 in Dubai, you get the one machine that earns genuine respect from every driver around you.

No posturing. Just performance that speaks for itself. 78% of clients who choose the M4 say the same thing: it hits the sweet spot between track-grade aggression and daily comfort. Merino leather interior. Carbon fiber trim. The kind of ride that makes a business dinner at DIFC feel like an event before you even walk through the door.

Popular Types of BMW M4

M4 Competition Convertible - Open-Top Along the Jumeirah Coastline

The soft-top folds in 18 seconds. Press the button, drop the roof, and let the Dubai evening air hit you on the way to Palm Jumeirah.

The M4 Competition Convertible turns a coastal drive into something worth remembering - this is the one for sunsets, not just speed.

M4 Competition Coupe - Track Mentality, City Ready

A rigid body shell, carbon fiber interior accents, and three drive modes: Sport, Sport+, and the full Track setup.

The Coupe gives you a stiffer, more focused feel: the chassis communicates every road surface, every corner. It's the choice for drivers who want the full M4 Competition experience, not a softened version of it.

xDrive vs RWD - Choose Your Drive Character

xDrive (all-wheel drive) delivers the 3.9-second 0-100 sprint with maximum traction. RWD gives you the classic rear-drive balance – more adjustable, more driver-focused. Both variants are available at Rentico.

If you've never driven a 530 HP rear-wheel machine in Dubai traffic, xDrive is the smarter daily choice. If you know what you're doing - RWD is the honest answer.

What to Know Before You Rent a BMW M4 in Dubai

Key Factors for Selection

  • Ground clearance: The M4 sits at 120 mm – watch speed bumps in JVC and residential areas.
  • Boot capacity: 440 litres – fits one large suitcase or two carry-ons.
  • Salik toll system: the car is fitted with a Salik chip, charges are settled at return (up to 6 AED per gate crossing + 1.5 AED service fee).
  • Fuel policy: return the car with the same fuel level received. The M4 runs on premium 98-octane – factor that into the daily budget.
  • Staggered wheels: 19″ front / 20″ rear – delivers razor-sharp handling and grip, watch curbs and potholes to avoid rim damage.

Compare the M4 daily rate against Dubai's business-class taxi fares. At 3-4 rides per day, a taxi bill runs 150-200 AED. Three days in, the BMW M4 rental cost is already competitive - and the schedule, route, and experience stay entirely in your hands. For longer stays, explore monthly car rental options for the best rates.

Cost & Value Breakdown

Renting a BMW M4 from Rentico starts at 1 880 AED/day, VAT included. A weekly booking brings the effective daily rate down – weekly rate 10 500 AED. Monthly hire 37 800 AED – a rational choice for Dubai residents and long-stay visitors alike.

A 7-day BMW M4 hire at a weekly rate works out significantly cheaper than 7 days of business-class taxi rides across Downtown, DIFC, and Dubai Marina - while putting 510 HP on demand, any time. That's not a luxury argument. That's a numbers argument.

    • Your passport

    • Your valid driver’s license (front and back)

    • An International Driving Permit (IDP) — this is required for citizens of some countries (see the list here).

If you’re from the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, or a few other places, you don’t need an IDP. For people from Belarus and Ukraine, just your national driver’s license and passport are enough to book.

If you’re from Russia, Kazakhstan, or other CIS countries, an International Driving Permit is a must.

UAE residents should provide a valid UAE driver’s license and their Emirates ID. If your UAE license is less than 3 months old, please also send your national driver’s license showing you’ve been driving for 3 months or more.

  • Off-road use is a violation of the rental agreement and is not allowed.

    • Ages 18–21:
You can rent economy-class cars only. A refundable deposit of AED 2,000 is required.
Insurance terms: in case of an accident, you’ll pay the deductible (usually AED 1,000) plus 10% of the repair cost or vehicle value (in case of total loss).

    • Ages 21–25:
Most vehicles are available, except for certain luxury and high-performance models.
Insurance terms: the deductible ranges from AED 1,000 to 1,500 depending on the car class, plus 10% of the repair cost or car value (in case of total loss).

    • 25 and older:
All car categories are available. The 10% rule does not apply to insurance.

Minimum driving experience: 3 months (applies to all age groups).

If your UAE license is less than 3 months old but your original license shows more driving experience, you're still eligible to rent a car.

  • Any customer who has a valid UAE Driving License which is minimum 1 year old or above.

    • Cash — in AED, USD, or EUR.

    • Debit and credit cards — including Russian cards in RUB.

    • Bank transfers.

  • Yes — with Rentico, you can rent a car without a deposit or credit card.

You have two options: either leave a refundable deposit, or choose a no-deposit option by paying a small extra fee for the entire rental period. This fee starts from AED 27 and depends on the car and rental duration.

A credit card is not required.

  • If you want to rent a car in the UAE, in some cases you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your regular driver’s license. For example, people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and some other countries need an IDP. You can find a list of the most common countries and their IDP requirements here.

You don’t need an International Driving Permit if you are:

    • A UAE resident. Just show your Emirates ID and a valid UAE driver’s license that’s been issued at least 3 months ago. If your UAE license is newer than that, you’ll also need to show your original national driver’s license proving you’ve been driving for more than 3 months.

    • A citizen of the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, Belarus, or Ukraine. For renting a car, your national driver’s license and passport are enough.

In any case, you must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your liability in the event of an accident during your car rental. Without this, you could be liable for the full cost of the rental car if it were to be damaged or written off. CDW means you won’t have to pay the full cost of any repairs as long as you’ve followed the T&Cs.

CDW is always included when booking with rentico.ae with Excess or Excess Reimbursement. CDW is sometimes known as Loss Damage Waiver or Damage Excess Waiver.

  • Yes. The BMW M4 Competition is available to drivers aged 25 and above. This applies to both the Coupe and Convertible variants. For ages 21–25, most vehicles are available except certain luxury and high-performance models like the M4. Drivers under 25 can explore other performance options in the sport cars section.
  • Yes. CDW insurance is valid across all UAE emirates – Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and others. Travel to Oman is not permitted. Off-road use, drifting, and track driving void the coverage. CDW does not cover damage to tires, glass, mirrors, or the underbody. Accidents caused while breaking the law (e.g. driving under the influence or fleeing the scene) void the coverage entirely. A valid police report is required for any insurance claim to be processed.
  • Both configurations are in the fleet. xDrive is the recommended choice for everyday Dubai driving – faster 0-100 sprint with full traction. RWD suits experienced drivers who prefer a rear-biased, more driver-focused setup.
