Rent BMW X6M in Dubai: Sports Activity Coupe That Commands Every Road

Sheikh Zayed Road at 7 AM. Three lanes of traffic, every driver competing for position. The BMW X6 M Competition settles that argument in 3.8 seconds - flat. This is not a standard SUV. BMW built the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe: the roofline drops like a fastback, the xDrive system plants 625 hp through all four wheels, and the M TwinPower Turbo engine announces itself before you even press the throttle.

In Dubai, 78% of premium-segment renters choose the X6 M specifically for that combination - coupe silhouette, SUV ground clearance, supercar acceleration. Residents run it daily between Business Bay and Dubai Marina. Tourists book it for content shoots at Palm Jumeirah. Business travellers use it to arrive at DIFC meetings on their terms, not a taxi dispatcher's.

Popular Types of BMW X6M

BMW X6 M Competition - 625 hp, Zero Compromise

Performance case: 625 hp, 750 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The M Competition is supercar performance inside an SUV body. Every overtake on E11 is a non-event.

Best fit for: Clients who want the loudest statement on the road. The M-Sport exhaust note alone justifies the rental price. Check our BMW cars in Dubai for current availability.

BMW X6 xDrive40i - The Daily Driver Argument

Balance case: 340 hp, adaptive suspension tuned for Dubai’s flat tarmac, ventilated Merino leather seats — non-negotiable when the thermometer hits +45°C. Fuel consumption stays rational for longer trips toward Abu Dhabi.

Best fit for: Business travellers covering Business Bay to Dubai Marina daily. Lower rental price, identical status on the road. Browse the full SUV rental in Dubai catalogue for alternatives.

BMW X6 M50i - Entry Point to X6 M DNA

Value case: 530 hp from a 4.4L V8, M Sport exterior package, panoramic sunroof standard. The M50i costs less per day than the full M Competition but delivers the same coupe roofline and xDrive traction.

Best fit for: Clients who want the X6 M look without the M Competition price. Also works as a luxury car rental upgrade from standard SUVs. 360-degree parking cameras handle tight Dubai Mall multi-storeys without stress.

What to Know Before You Rent a BMW X6 M in Dubai

Key Selection Factors for Renting a BMW X6 M

  • M TwinPower Turbo engine: Runs on Super 98 only — never substitute 95 in Dubai heat, it affects turbo response.
  • Ventilated seats: Standard on all X6 M variants. Non-negotiable at +45°C cabin temperatures.
  • 360-degree Parking Assistant Plus: Handles Dubai Mall and DIFC basement levels without mirror damage.
  • CDW insurance: Included. Excess is 1,000 AED per incident. Drivers 25+ pay the excess only — no additional 20% surcharge.
  • Monthly mileage: 5000 km cumulative. An Abu Dhabi round trip fits within the limit.

Before pulling out of the handover point, connect Apple CarPlay - Dubai's interchange signage at Al Khail Road moves fast. Also check the Salik chip is active on the windscreen. The Rentico team verifies both during the 2-minute key handover, but a second set of eyes never hurts.

Cost and Benefit Analysis

Four Uber Black rides between DXB, DIFC, Dubai Marina, and back run 280-340 AED – and you wait in 45°C heat for each one. A day rental of the BMW X6 xDrive40i at 2 250 AED gives full schedule control, 250 km of movement, and a car that parks itself. Monthly rentals cut that daily rate by up to 35%.

BMW X6 M Competition for 7 days - approximately 12 600 AED. The same period in premium chauffeur vehicles costs 3,500-4,500 AED with zero flexibility on timing or routing. You pay more, move less, control nothing. The math resolves itself.

    • Your passport

    • Your valid driver’s license (front and back)

    • An International Driving Permit (IDP) — this is required for citizens of some countries (see the list here).

If you’re from the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, or a few other places, you don’t need an IDP. For people from Belarus and Ukraine, just your national driver’s license and passport are enough to book.

If you’re from Russia, Kazakhstan, or other CIS countries, an International Driving Permit is a must.

UAE residents should provide a valid UAE driver’s license and their Emirates ID. If your UAE license is less than 3 months old, please also send your national driver’s license showing you’ve been driving for 3 months or more.

  • Off-road use is a violation of the rental agreement and is not allowed.

    • Ages 18–21:
You can rent economy-class cars only. A refundable deposit of AED 2,000 is required.
Insurance terms: in case of an accident, you’ll pay the deductible (usually AED 1,000) plus 10% of the repair cost or vehicle value (in case of total loss).

    • 25 and older:
All car categories are available. The 10% rule does not apply to insurance.

Minimum driving experience: 3 months (applies to all age groups).

    • Debit and credit cards — including Russian cards in RUB.

    • Bank transfers.

  • Yes — with Rentico, you can rent a car without a deposit or credit card.

You have two options: either leave a refundable deposit, or choose a no-deposit option by paying a small extra fee for the entire rental period. This fee starts from AED 27 and depends on the car and rental duration.

A credit card is not required.

  • If you want to rent a car in the UAE, in some cases you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your regular driver’s license. For example, people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and some other countries need an IDP. You can find a list of the most common countries and their IDP requirements here.

You don’t need an International Driving Permit if you are:

    • A UAE resident. Just show your Emirates ID and a valid UAE driver’s license that’s been issued at least 3 months ago. If your UAE license is newer than that, you’ll also need to show your original national driver’s license proving you’ve been driving for more than 3 months.

    • A citizen of the EU, GCC, USA, UK, Canada, Belarus, or Ukraine. For renting a car, your national driver’s license and passport are enough.

In any case, you must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your liability in the event of an accident during your car rental. Without this, you could be liable for the full cost of the rental car if it were to be damaged or written off. CDW means you won’t have to pay the full cost of any repairs as long as you’ve followed the T&Cs.

CDW is always included when booking with rentico.ae with Excess or Excess Reimbursement. CDW is sometimes known as Loss Damage Waiver or Damage Excess Waiver.

  • No. The X6 M is a performance road car – ground clearance and suspension tune are built for tarmac and light gravel, not sand dunes. Off-road use voids the CDW insurance.
  • Yes. All X6 M Competition and M50i units in the Rentico fleet carry the M-Sport exhaust system. The sound profile is audible from idle — and significantly louder in Sport+ mode.
  • Yes. Parking Assistant Plus with surround-view is fitted across the fleet. The camera resolution handles tight multi-storey bays and valet lanes without issue.
  • Yes. UAE-wide driving is permitted across all emirates, including Abu Dhabi. The 250 km daily cumulative mileage covers a Dubai-Abu Dhabi return with room to spare. Oman cross-border is not permitted under the rental agreement.
